High performance Digital CCTV Cameras to suit every pocket

Although many CCTV cameras look good on paper, actual performance often fails to live up to expectations.

Whether colour or mono, we expect our cameras to produce crisp, punchy images, which is why any camera added to our range, also has to pass our visual performance tests.

To ensure top quality performance, unless specifically stated, all of our cameras feature: a glass optical lens, 'CCD' rather than 'CMOS' technology, a top brand on board processor chip with high quality DSP (digital signal processor) software.

Competitive bulk buying prices, mean that we are also able to offer competitive prices to our customers

...and remember we are so confident in our products, that our cameras carry a no quibble money back guarantee ...so there is 'no risk to you' when you buy from us

What type of camera do you need?

Colour or mono? - mono cameras are cheaper than their colour equivalent and will operate more effectively in low light conditions. Colour cameras however are the natural choice where colour detail is essential ...it would obviously be easy to identify to a security guard in a retail store, the man in the pink jumper and purple trousers ...but much more difficult if the on-site CCTV monitoring system was a mono system and therefore no colour information was available.

Indoor or outdoor use? - all cameras can be installed in indoor locations, however cameras installed in outdoor locations must be weather sealed

Power Requirements - all CCTV cameras require electrical power to operate. Our Plug-n-View range draw their power along the cable that connects the camera to the CCTV Monitor or DVR (digital video recorder). Other cameras require a separate power supply which will typically be located close to the camera.

Covert or visible cameras? - cameras act as a visual deterrent to a variety of issues, from theft, to bad behaviour. Pubs and clubs however often rely on covert cameras to monitor cash handling transactions by bar staff, etc. There are therefore valid applications for covert cameras, but careful consideration should be given to the ethics and in certain circumstances, even the legality of using a covert system.

What will the camera see? - the focal length of the camera lens; i.e. 3.8mm, 6mm, etc., coupled with the camera format; i.e.1/3" or 1/4", will determine the angle of view from the camera
