Mini, Stand-Alone - 4 Channel Mobile DVR
- MPEG4, Compact Flash Drive unit ( prod.ref:
VZ-DVM404CF) Despite it’s ultra compact dimensions and modest price tag, this versatile, feature packed 4 Channel DVR is a truly professional unit in every sense of the word. It provides a practical, simple and affordable solution, for a wide range of CCTV recording applications and requirements.
Simplicity and operational convenience - were
among the key design criteria specified for this exciting new unit. So
while you can be sure of high quality performance and reliable operation,
you won’t need to be a technical genius to set the unit up or use it
effectively. Features and functions – designed
specifically for stand-alone operation, this amazingly versatile, feature
and function packed unit, incorporates all the standard functions you
would expect from a professional DVR, along with some exciting and
innovative features, not generally
found on other units. Camera connections - the DVR supports up to 4
directly connected cameras (with audio recording capability on channel 1).
It supports most types of CCTV camera via industry standard connections
(remote control of PTZ cameras is supported via popular protocols such as
PELCO P and D) Recording options- images are recorded onto a compact flash card. For most applications, the continuous recording option will be the natural choice, however the DVR also supports up to 4 alarm inputs, so if preferred, it can be set to record on an event or alarm trigger. The unit can be set up to record all connected cameras in real time quad mode (four cameras to a view), or to record images from all cameras separately but concurrently. The overall recording frame per second (fps) rate for
the unit is 50fps for PAL (60fps NTSC). The recording capacity will depend
on various factors including; the Compact Flash Card size, the recording quality
and frame rate selected, etc. As a rough guide, with 1 camera connected,
an 8GB Compact Flash Card offers the capacity to support continuous
real-time recording for around 12-15 hours. Enabling the ‘flash card overwrite’ feature in
the simple set-up menu will allow the unit to record continuously even
when the hard drive is full (oldest recorded images continuously being
replaced by the current live images) – so the only time the unit will
require any operator attention is when an incident has occurred. Viewing images or downloading them for archive purposes – couldn’t be simpler. The audio / video output connections on the rear of the unit can be connected to a monitor (or even a TV) for live viewing, or to an external VCR / DVD or CD recorder, for archive recordings. Images can also be quickly and easily downloaded to a PC
for archiving or viewing, by removing the Flash card and plugging it into
a suitable card reader attached to any PC running the supplied ‘remote view’ software. Security – password security prevents unauthorised tampering with set-up settings and
operation of the unit. Operating convenience – the convenient
remote controller handset provides full function control of; unit set-up /
menu functions, camera views (including remote telemetry control of pan,
tilt, zoom camera operation where applicable), zoom viewing, image
recording, image retrieval, etc. Power requirements - operating from 12–30 VDC, the DVR can be connected directly to a vehicle
(or stand alone) battery, or it can be run from a mains electricity supply
via a suitable AC/DC transformer. Unlike power hungry alternative units,
which often draw up to 5amps or so when operating, this unit typically draws
less than 1amp, so there’s an appreciable saving on battery drain when used
for covert or mobile applications and of course, a cost saving when
operating from a mains electricity supply. Some examples of mobile
