Model MD GTHD 

A specialist Garrett tactical hand held metal detector scanner which operates on a par with the MD GSS, yet is much more compact and sealed to IP66 standard making it fully weatherproof. 

Designed primarily for use by law enforcement officers, the unit is also suitable for other applications.

Considered 'intrinsically safe', this unit is used on-board oil tankers, etc. where the consequences of an explosion brought about by an electrical spark could be disastrous.  

Warning: - because of the compact nature of this unit and therefore the closeness of the operators hand to the subject being scanned, it may be less suitable for general use where the operator may need to scan persons of the opposite sex.

A simple On / Off switch controls the detector operation while a second On / Off switch operates the integral LED torch - suitable for continuous extended operation. Supplied with belt holster.
