Armour Ring Security Cap

The Permafix Armour Ring ® is a patented simple conical collar that fits over standard nuts or bolts to make them tamper resistant.

The design of the rings allow them to be used to protect either a bolt head or a nut. Once the bolt (and or nut) is fully tightened, simply position the Armour Ring over it and tap home with a hammer.

Once installed Armour Rings are very difficult to remove making them a very effective deterrent to tampering with the nut / bolt fixings. 

Versatile and affordable, Armour rings are used for an extensive range of applications including; the installation of security grilles, etc., while use by local authorities includes securing park benches and street furniture among a wide range of other uses.

Permafix Armour Rings are available in BZP (mild steel with Bright Zinc Plate finish) and A2 stainless steel, and will fit any "British Standard" or "DIN Standard" hex nuts or bolts. Available in the following stock sizes:

     M6, M8, M10, M12 and M16

After installing the nut and bolt, Armour Rings can be used as shown above, on the bolt head and the nut for maximum protection
